Nu Teacher for Schools
Nu Teacher  ·  For School Leaders & Consultants

Your teachers deserve
a plan with real depth.

Most teachers are surviving on TPT downloads, textbook copies, and generic AI — not because they don't care, but because producing a plan with genuine depth takes hours they don't have. Nu Teacher is the thought partner that advances the hard parts: anticipating misconceptions, building driving inquiry, preparing teacher language, and embedding cultural relevance — every lesson, every week.

What's inside every Nu Teacher plan
01
Teaching Playbook
Core idea, where teachers commonly get stuck, what to watch for — before class begins
02
Driving Inquiry
A real intellectual question that frames the whole lesson — not a standard
03
Lesson Flow + Teacher Language
Proposed teacher moves and timing — fully editable, entirely the teacher's own
04
Student Names in Every Problem
Keyonni, Fatima, Marcus — your students are the characters, not placeholders
05
Beautiful Struggle + Cultural Relevance
Embedded by default — never a prompt, never an afterthought
06

See It In Action

Watch real teachers
use it in real time.

This is not a polished product demo. These are real teachers, in a real school, generating personalized lessons with their students' names woven throughout — in under three minutes.

The Teaching Playbook, the tiered practice structure, the Beautiful Struggle framing — all there automatically. No extra prompting. No editing for cultural relevance. It comes out right the first time.

What school leaders notice: teachers stop asking "how do I make this relevant to my students?" The depth, the inquiry, the misconception prep — it's already there. That's what makes Nu Teacher different from every other AI tool on the market.
The ROI

The numbers are simple.

School leaders make budget decisions based on impact per dollar. Here is what Nu Teacher actually costs — and what it replaces.

What Your Teachers Get

Every plan carries
20 years of pedagogy.

These are not features bolted on. This is the product — built from the ground up for classrooms that most tools ignore.

01
Teaching Playbook: What to Know Before You Teach
Every lesson opens with a prep section — core idea, where teachers commonly get stuck, common misconceptions, and what to watch for. Teachers walk in ready to perform, not just prepared to teach.
Prep depth built in
02
Driving Inquiry & Deep Questions
A real intellectual question frames every lesson — not a standard, a genuine challenge. Plus deeper questions prepared for teachers to push thinking beyond surface answers.
Critical consciousness
03
Lesson Flow with Proposed Teacher Language
Entry point, direct instruction, practice — with timing and suggested teacher moves built in. Every word is editable so teachers make it fully their own. Nu Teacher proposes; the teacher performs.
Teacher language prepared
04
Student Names and Community Heritage Woven Throughout
Keyonni, Fatima, Marcus — your students are the characters in every word problem and scenario. Not placeholders. Not generic names. Theirs. Teachers can also specify their students’ specific heritage — Haitian-American, West African, Dominican, Puerto Rican — and Nu Teacher weaves that community context into WHY THIS MATTERS and every word problem scenario, connecting your students’ specific history to the content they are learning.
Genuine engagement
05
Beautiful Struggle & Cultural Relevance by Default
Liberation pedagogy, Beautiful Struggle philosophy, and culturally responsive contexts are embedded from the first draft. Never a prompt. Never an afterthought.
Liberation pedagogy
06
Data Analysis & Teacher Brief
Teachers paste exit ticket results or assessment data — Nu Teacher reads the patterns, identifies who needs what, and tells them what comes next. The planning loop closes.
Complete teaching cycle
A Question Worth Answering

Your teachers are already
using AI for planning.

What school leaders say

“We already have a curriculum — Amplify, EL Education, Core Knowledge. We’re covered.”

“Our teachers just use ChatGPT. It’s free. Why pay for something else?

Having a curriculum doesn’t mean teachers have time for depth.

Amplify and similar platforms give teachers a content roadmap. What they don’t give teachers is the hours spent translating that roadmap into a lesson with driving inquiry, anticipated misconceptions, scripted teacher moves, and cultural relevance. Teachers with strong curricula are still spending hours supplementing. Nu Teacher handles exactly that work — and works alongside any existing curriculum.

Generic AI & ChatGPTCulturally neutral by design
×A template with blanks — no cultural responsiveness built in
×10+ rounds of prompting to add inquiry, scaffolding, student names
×No understanding of urban classroom dynamics or community context
×No Teaching Playbook — no “where teachers get stuck”
×No Beautiful Struggle framing — struggle looks like failure
×Output that works for any school — which means it truly works for none
Nu TeacherBuilt for the schools most tools forget
Liberation pedagogy and Beautiful Struggle embedded from the first draft — no prompting required
Teaching Playbook with core idea, misconceptions to anticipate, and watch-for moments
Your students’ names in every word problem and scenario — Keyonni, Fatima, Marcus
Driving inquiry and deep questions proposed — fully editable so the teacher makes every word their own
Works alongside any existing curriculum — supplements Amplify, EL Education, or district materials
Built by a 20-year urban educator who taught in the same schools you lead
×No awareness of which specific communities are in the room — every classroom gets the same output
Community context field lets teachers name their students’ heritage — Haitian-American, Dominican, West African — and Nu Teacher weaves that thread into WHY THIS MATTERS and word problem scenarios every time
Using Amplify, EL Education, or a district curriculum? Nu Teacher works alongside it. Teachers paste their unit focus, and Nu Teacher generates the driving inquiry, tiered practice, and teacher language that the curriculum roadmap doesn’t provide. The curriculum sets the destination. Nu Teacher builds the depth of the journey.

From the Founder

“I built Nu Teacher because I spent 20 years watching great teachers burn out on planning — not on teaching. The tools available to them were built for schools that don’t look like ours. Students’ names were never in the problems. The history was never their history. The misconceptions were never anticipated. The Beautiful Struggle was never named. I fixed that.”

The Research Behind the Design

What you just saw —
and why it’s built that way.

Every design decision in Nu Teacher has a reason. The entry ramp problem isn’t a warm-up. The Core Idea paragraph doesn’t appear before the problems — it appears after. The error in Pull It Apart is deliberate. The answer key includes a Celebration Prompt, not just a correction. None of this is accidental, and none of it comes from generic AI output.

01
The entry ramp
Every practice set opens with a problem one grade level below today’s target skill — same mathematical structure, simpler scale. A student who has spent years believing they aren’t capable meets something they can already do before the grade-level work begins. Research on productive failure confirms this sequencing produces better outcomes than diving directly into grade-level content. The student wins once before the hard work starts. That is structural, not motivational.
02
The Core Idea — placed after, not before
The conceptual anchor appears after four foundation problems — not before them. Students encounter the structure of the skill through concrete problems first, then receive the language that names what they just did. Implicit encounter before explicit naming produces better retention and transfer than direct instruction alone. A student highlighted this section in a pilot classroom, unprompted, and told his teacher: “I think if people actually read it, it helps you better understand what you worked on and are about to work on.” He then redirected himself back to the work without waiting for validation.
03
The deliberate error
Pull It Apart presents a complete worked solution with one embedded conceptual error. Finding it — naming which rule it breaks and why — produces deeper encoding than solving a correct problem. The error is verified by a separate AI call before the PDF is generated. The answer key includes a Celebration Prompt: a question that honors the student’s thinking while redirecting it. Error diagnosis is not punishment. It is the deepest form of mathematical practice available at the secondary level.
04
The liberation frame
Every WHY THIS MATTERS section names a specific lesser-known Black or Brown mathematician, scientist, or scholar whose work connects directly to today’s content — and names what was taken or obscured. Not as inspiration content. As historical record, placed on the student worksheet, every time. Math identity and academic belonging are not soft outcomes. They are the difference between a student who persists when the work gets hard and one who does not. The Beautiful Struggle philosophy is embedded in the worksheet itself — the student who struggles and shows their reasoning learns more than one who gets the right answer with no thinking behind it.
“I think if people actually read it, it helps you better understand what you worked on and are about to work on. And it helps you with the vocabulary — so yeah, it’s good.”
A student in a pilot classroom, after highlighting the Core Idea section of his Algebra 2 Quick Practice sheet unprompted. When asked if he was doing it right, he pointed himself back to the resources on the page rather than waiting for teacher validation. That is the design working exactly as intended.
Nu Teacher is a teacher-reviewed tool, not a teacher-replacement tool. Every output is a starting point. The teacher makes it theirs. What the tool does is make that starting point substantively better — more scaffolded, more sequenced, more responsive to who is actually in the room — than anything a teacher could build alone in the time available. For your teachers, that difference is hours per week. Across a school year, it is the difference between surviving planning and having enough left to actually teach.

The Research Behind the Tool

Nu Teacher is built on
two named frameworks.

The Beautiful Struggle pedagogy and the Erasure Detection methodology are the intellectual architecture that determines how every Nu Teacher lesson is structured, what questions get asked, and whose knowledge gets centered. If you want to understand what the tool is doing and why, these are the workbooks that teach it.

Why this matters, in data: Kenneth Clark ran a doll study in 1947. The majority of Black children preferred the white doll and attributed positive qualities to it. Researchers replicated the experiment in Harlem in 2005 — 15 of 21 children gave the same answers. A 2010 CNN study confirmed the pattern held. Segregation ended in 1954. The internal self-image data did not change. Passive curriculum produces more of the same result. Nu Teacher is the intentional response — every lesson, every week.
