How to Read Your Card
Every number, symbol, watermark, and line on your element card carries meaning. This is the decoder.
Your element card is modeled after a periodic table entry — but instead of chemistry, it maps human formation. Each section reveals a different layer of who you are and how you show up. Nothing on the card is decorative. Everything is intentional.

1
Atomic No. & State
Your element’s fixed coordinate number within the Bond formation table — a permanent position, not a ranking. The matter state (Solid, Liquid, Plasma, Gas) reflects how your energy moves through the world. See Section 04 for the full state guide.
2
Element Symbol
Your two-letter formation signature — the shorthand the Bond system uses to identify you. VB, RG, IR, GS, SE, or WV. This appears on your card, in your brief, and wherever Bond references your type.
3
Name & Compound
Your full element name (e.g., Visionary Builder) and your compound word — a single-word archetype that captures your dominant mode of operating in the world. This is your formation at its most distilled.
4
Formation Quote
A sentence that captures how your element experiences relationships, rooms, and people. This isn’t a tagline — it’s a signal. If it resonates, Bond read you correctly.
5
Gold Bar
Bond · Nu Renaissance authentication strip. Every genuine Bond element card carries this marker. The gold is intentional — it’s the only consistent color across all six elements.

A
Header Band
The colored top band is your element color — the same hue used across your card, brief, and Bond communications. It’s your visual frequency. The compound word is displayed large here because it’s the single most concentrated expression of your formation.
B
Identity Pills
Two types of tags appear here. White-border pills are identity anchors — how your element tends to present in the world. Gold-border pills are attitude markers — the personality tendencies your formation produces. Both are pattern-based, not stereotypes.
C
Sound
The musical frequencies most correlated with your element’s energy. Not your playlist — the texture of sound your formation resonates with. Used by Bond to curate music at NuRenn activations.
D
Table
How your element shows up in shared spaces — the environment and energy your formation needs to come alive in. The table is a proxy for how you connect with people in real life.
E
Receives
How you feel love when it actually lands. Not how you think you should feel it — how you actually do. This is drawn from your Mirror responses and helps Bond surface connection gaps in matching and community pairing.
F
Moves
Your social kinetics. How you enter rooms, navigate energy, and position yourself around people. Three words that capture the rhythm of your presence.
03 — The Atomic Numbers · What the Numbers Mean
Each element’s atomic number is a fixed coordinate in the Bond formation table — assigned during the design of the system, not derived from rarity. The numbers are permanent positions, not rankings. Lower is not better. Higher is not rarer. They are addresses, not scores. For rarity estimates, see Section 07.

04 — Matter States · How Your Energy Moves
Bond assigns each element a matter state drawn from physics — Solid, Liquid, Plasma, or Gas. This isn’t metaphor for decoration. It describes how your formation moves through social environments — how you expand or contract, conduct or diffuse energy around people.
Solid
VB · RG · GS
Defined structure. Consistent form. Holds shape under pressure. Solid formations are anchors — they don’t scatter, they accumulate. In relationships: reliable, present, hard to rattle.
Liquid
SE
Flows precisely. Takes the shape of the container without losing its nature. Liquid formations are fluid but exact — adaptable without being aimless. In relationships: selective, immersive, hard to hold onto.
Plasma
IR
Energized beyond solid or liquid. Conducts electricity. The rarest natural state — unstable but generative. Plasma formations move at high frequency and ignite what they touch. In relationships: magnetic, catalytic, intense.
Gas
WV
Fills every available space. Invisible but present. Gas formations are diffuse by design — they move between rooms, frequencies, and identities without resistance. In relationships: everywhere, perceptive, hard to pin down.
05 — Sacred Symbols · The Visual Language
Three symbols appear across Bond cards, materials, and break screens. Each is drawn from ancient geometry and African cosmology. They aren’t decorative — they carry specific philosophical weight within the Bond system.
The Vesica Piscis
The intersection of two circles of equal radius. In Bond, it represents the compound — the unique formation that emerges when two elements overlap. Neither person alone, but what they create together.
☥
The Ankh
Ancient Kemetic symbol of life. In Bond, it represents continuity — the formation you carry from your origin into your present self. The loop at the top: the self. The cross: how you move through the world.
◯
The Nu Orbital
The animated ring used across Bond materials. The three orbiting dots are colored VB purple, IR orange, and GS green. The “Nu” at center is both the Greek letter used in physics for frequency and the root of Nu Renaissance.
VB
Element Symbol
Two-letter code derived from the element name. Used as a shorthand identifier across all Bond communications, card surfaces, and community matching.
VB
The Watermark
The ghost symbol visible as a large, very low-opacity layer behind the card’s content. It’s not a design flourish — it’s the formation beneath the surface.
⬡
Tribe Glyphs
Six geometric glyphs — one per tribe. Appear in your brief, on the tribe reference page, and in community spaces. Your tribe glyph appears alongside your element symbol as a secondary identifier.
06 — The Watermark · Depth Beneath the Surface
Every Bond element card carries a ghost watermark — your element symbol printed very large, at extremely low opacity, behind the card’s visible content.
VB
Front Face Watermark
The watermark on the front sits beneath your numbers, symbol, and quote. It represents your formation before language — the pattern that was there before Bond named it.
VB
Back Face Watermark
On the back, the watermark sits beneath your cultural signature. The back shows how your formation moves in culture. The watermark underneath says: this expression traces back to a singular root.
07 — Rarity Scores · What “1 in 847” Means
The rarity figure on your card represents the estimated frequency of your element formation within the general Black adult population. Rarity is not hierarchy: a common element (RG, 1 in 312) is not less valuable than a rare one (SE, 1 in 2,190). Rarity reflects how often this exact pattern of formation shows up, not how important or desirable it is.

08 — The Compound · Your Two-Person Formation
In chemistry, a compound is a substance formed from two or more elements chemically bonded. In Bond, your compound is the formation that emerges when your element bonds with another. It doesn’t exist in either person individually — it only exists in the relationship. Your compound word (ARCHITECT, SOWER, CATALYST, WITNESS, SOVEREIGN, WANDERER) is the archetype of your solo mode. Your compound with a specific person is unique to that pairing — and revealed through the Full Mirror’s alchemy questions. To access the Full Mirror: Full Mirror
